The Savannah/Tybee Island MarathonThese are some photos from races I have participated in. The one on the left was taken before I ran my best marathon. I always think I should have ran better but it was a good race anyway. I had a few problems that kept me from running my best but hung on to finish with a time I felt good about. The Rocket City MarathonNice photo, terrible race. I call it the agony of defeat. You see me crossing the finish line after a four hour nightmare. I was 45 minutes over my goal. It was cold and rained on me through most of race but I managed to finish. This photo was taken December 10, 1994 in Huntsville, Alabama. |

The Cobb Classic 10KHere you see me crossing the finish line after running my fastest 10 kilometer race but then I have only ran two of them. If I appear to be in a little discomfort then you will understand why I don't compete in many of these. This was an inaugural event with a field including 25 Olympians from 24 countries plus running legends Frank Shorter and Jim Ryan. September 5, 1994 |
